Who am I?
Hi! I’m Kinny (Yuanqi), a UX/product designer who’s always learning, loves talking about UX, and has way too many hobbies 🫣
What am I most excited about UX?
What excites me most about UX is the ability to empower people through thoughtful design and technology. As a product/UX designer, I’m motivated by understanding users’ needs, mental models, and behaviors, and translating those insights into product experiences that feel intuitive and purposeful.
I’m especially energized by designing software that helps users solve real problems, work more efficiently, build healthier habits, and connect with others. Knowing that the products I design can positively shape how people think, act, and interact in their everyday lives is what keeps me curious, learning, and invested in this field.
What do I like to do in my free time?
In my free time, I enjoy hiking, hot yoga, photography, road trips, and cooking. My biggest hobby is creating editorial-style portraits — from brainstorming themes and choosing locations and timing for a shoot, to styling and posing my models, and editing the photos in my own style.
